Murph isn’t angry because she stopped loving her father. She’s angry because loving him cost her too much.
When love has no place to land, it turns into armor. Anger becomes protection. Distance becomes control. Brilliance becomes survival.
Not because she was alone — but because the one she needed couldn’t be replaced. There were adults. There was structure. There was guidance.
But a child doesn’t need someone. A child needs their father.
